Leadership Team:
Each week, our volunteers help to shape young peoples lives for the better, and find out things about themselves too!

About 1st Norton Canes:
Founded in 1972, 1st Norton Canes Scout Group has been at the heart of the Norton Canes community for over five decades. We’re proud to offer fun, adventure, and life skills to young people aged 4 to 18 from Norton Canes and the surrounding areas.
Based at Norton Canes Primary Academy, we strengthen our connection to the local community while providing a safe, welcoming environment for young people to thrive. The group is led by a team of dedicated volunteers who bring passion and commitment to every activity.
We have five exciting sections for different age groups: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers. In addition, we run a Squirrels Drey, Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, Scout Troop, and an Explorer Satellite Unit, all within the Cannock Chase District Scouts.
Throughout the year, we organise a range of events including camps, hikes, trips, activity days, and sleepovers—ensuring there’s always something exciting for everyone. Scouting is open to both boys and girls, offering them the chance to develop essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and resilience.
